Certification Summary

The Art25 Data Protection & Nordic Assurance Certification™ is a formal verification awarded to organizations that have implemented key data protection practices aligned with the highest EU standards. It provides a clear structure for demonstrating accountability, operational readiness, and alignment with global best practices.
Based on the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ISO/IEC 27701 privacy standard, the certification confirms that your organization has established essential controls for data governance, information security, and privacy management.
Developed and conducted by Art25 Consulting AB, a Stockholm-based advisory firm, the certification process is led by a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) and certified member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the world’s leading certifying body for privacy and data protection professionals.”
Certification is valid for 12 months and may be renewed through reassessment.

Our certification process is designed to be transparent, tailored, and practical. ensuring your organization builds lasting internal capacity while aligning with globally recognized standards.
Phase 1: Discovery & Scoping
We begin with a focused consultation to understand your organization’s structure, sector-specific risks, and existing data protection practices. The scope of the certification is defined, and key contacts are identified.
Phase 2: Assessment & Evidence Review
Our consultants conduct a structured review based on GDPR principles and ISO/IEC 27701 controls. This includes documentation analysis, stakeholder interviews, and gap identification across data governance, security measures, and privacy controls.
Phase 3: Findings & Recommendations
You receive a detailed findings report highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and concrete recommendations. This helps you address gaps before final certification, if needed, with optional support from Art25.
Phase 4: Certification Issuance
Once key practices are verified, we issue the Art25 Data Protection & Nordic Assurance Certification™. The certificate is valid for 12 months and includes a formal letter of verification, scoring level (Bronze / Silver / Gold), and the option to publish your certification status.
Phase 5: Renewal & Maturity Review
Organizations are invited to renew their certification annually. We offer an optional maturity review to measure progress and guide next steps toward deeper integration, policy refinement, or international alignment.
